Wes Newton has fired out a warning to his next opponent following his emphatic victory over Scott Rand in the second round of the PDC World Championship.
The world number six averaged 99.53 and produced three 100+ finishes as he ran out a comfortable 4-0 winner at Alexandra Palace on Saturday.
Newton, who will now face either Justin Pipe or Mark Walsh in the last 16 after Christmas, believes that his form will continue to improve.
"I felt good," he told Sky Sports News. "I felt like I played well and I know I've got more in the locker.
"I'm getting better every round and that's the main thing."
Newton has never been beyond the quarter-final stage at a World Championship.
