Mensur Suljovic has recorded a 4-3 victory over David Pallett in the second round of the World Championship in a match which saw both players miss a double for a nine-dart leg.
After falling 2-1 behind, Suljovic began the fourth set by missing double 18 for the perfect game, before in the sixth set, Pallett directed his last dart just above double 12, but he did enough to extend the match into a decider.
However, it was Suljovic who finished the stronger of the two players to move through into the last 16, where he will now play either Adrian Lewis or Andrew Gilding.
Mark Webster progressed into the next round with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Terry Jenkins, who won just four legs throughout the match.
Webster will play Alan Norris for a place in the quarter-finals after the former Lakeside runner-up registered a 4-1 triumph over Joe Murnan.
The key moment in the contest came in set three when Murnan squandered 10 darts at a double to reduce the score to 2-1, and after Norris had moved one away from victory, he eventually sealed the win after hitting an 11th maximum in the fifth set.
