Phil Taylor has extended his unbeaten streak in this year's Premier League to 12 games with a 7-2 win over Robert Thornton in Bournemouth.
The 16-time world champion was below-par against the Scot but he had little problem in closing out a comfortable win to remain ahead of Michael van Gerwen in the table.
The world number one beat Peter Wright 7-2 before returning at the end of the evening to see off Adrian Lewis by a 7-5 scoreline.
Lewis had earlier succumbed to a 7-4 defeat to Raymond van Barneveld, who kept his hopes of a top-four place alive.
The other fixture of the night between Gary Anderson and James Wade ended in a 6-6 draw.
