Bookies' favourite Scott Waites will face Richie George in the semi-finals of the BDO World Championship after both players progressed in contrasting style this evening.
Richie evoked memories of his father Bobby George to come from 3-1 down to stun Dutchman Jan Dekker with a thrilling comeback victory.
George went 4-3 up in a race to five but was forced to a deciding set, which he took to make the last four on his Lakeside debut.
Waites was in ruthless form for much of his quarter-final clash with Paul Jennings, racing into a quick 4-0 lead.
Jennings took advantage of some sloppy finishing to pull two sets back but Waites eventually got over the line to make the semi-finals in Frimley Green for the first time.
