Team GB diver Katherine Torrance has admitted her disappointment at finishing eighth in the women's 1m springboard event at the European Games.
Following British success in previous events from James Heatly, Ross Haslam and Lois Toulson, the 1m proved fruitless for GB as both Torrance and teammate Millie Fowler failed to reach the podium.
In the day's earlier preliminary session, Torrance had faltered during one of her required dives - a set of five dives whose scores are added onto the scores from the four dives performed in the final.
Sports Mole spoke to Torrance after the final to get her thoughts on her performance and look ahead to her second shot at a medal in the women's 3m event.

How are you feeling, Katherine?
"I'm a little disappointed. Could have done better but you know - win some, lose some."
Where do you think it went wrong?
"This morning in my required dives, my back 1-1/2 didn't go very well, so that would have put me down on everyone else in the final because the scores for the required dives carry over to the final."
What had you hoped for today?
"Comparing scores from last year's Europeans and my personal bests, I was perhaps expecting to do a bit better. A medal is what I was hoping for but obviously it depends on how you do on the day."
You're still in with a chance of a medal though - you've got the 3m event on Sunday. Surely today just encourages you even more for then?
"It does. I prefer 3m a lot, I normally do a lot better on it. 1m is the board where I don't practise as often. So for 3m I'm much more determined to prove myself in a way. I really want to get at least one medal on this trip."
You've got a very vocal support among the crowd here. How much does that help?
"That really helps a lot, because it's nice to know that however you do, people are behind you, people are proud of you. They want to see you succeed. With Lois (Toulson, GB gold winner) yesterday we were going mental in the crowd. It's just a really good feeling to have everyone behind you."
How are you finding the Village experience?
"That is incredible. Obviously when you go to normal competitions, you just stay in a hotel. The facilities here are great - you can ride bikes around the Village if you want to. I think we rode around for about an hour-and-a-half yesterday, just for something to do! Also the food hall is perfect and it's 24/7 too, which is the best thing about it!"
