Great Britain's Ross Haslam wins a bronze medal in the men's 1m springboard diving competition at the World Aquatics Championships.

Ross Haslam won Great Britain's third diving medal of the World Aquatics Championships with a bronze in the men's 1m springboard final on Saturday.

The 26-year-old - who also won European gold in the event last year - posted a total score of 393.10 after six routines to win his first-ever individual medal at the World Championships.

Haslam was down in seventh spot after two dives, but he achieved the best score of the third round with 72.00 to force his way into the podium positions and saved his best for last with a 73.10 on his sixth routine.

The Briton was just over two-and-a-half marks worse off than Australian silver medallist Shixin Li (395.70), while 19-year-old Mexican star Osmar Olvera Ibarra stormed to the title with a total of 431.75.

Haslam's podium finish comes after Tom Daley, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, Daniel Goodfellow and Scarlett Mew Jensen took gold in the mixed 3m and 10m event on Friday, before Grace Reid finished second in the women's 1m springboard.

Elsewhere on Saturday, China were crowned world champions in the mixed 10m synchro final with a total of 353.82, while North Korea (303.96) and Mexico (296.13) won silver and bronze respectively.
