Jack Laugher has said that he and partner Chris Mears "couldn't be happier" after securing Great Britain's first ever FINA World Championships medal in the men's 3m synchro diving event.
The duo, from the City of Leeds Diving Club, claimed bronze in Kazan to follow up their gold in last year's Commonwealth Games.
"It was a brilliant performance and there were some absolutely amazing dives from both of us," Laugher told British Swimming.
"It's a really special feeling and to have my best mate standing next to me as well is what makes it even sweeter."
A podium place also secured the pair a spot in the event at next year's Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
"We couldn't be happier and to get the Rio spot is a huge weight of our shoulders now," Laugher added.
Laugher and Mears will both be in action in the individual 3m final, which begins with Thursday's qualifying and ends with Friday's final.
