DAZN retains the rights to show all 380 Serie A games a season in Italy, although the value of the new deal is lower than the current arrangement.

DAZN has signed a new deal for the Serie A in Italy to keep broadcasting all 380 games a season.

Seven of the 10 games every matchday will be exclusive to DAZN, while the other three a week will be shown by DAZN and Sky Sport Italia - preserving the status quo since 2021.

The new arrangement is worth slightly less to the league, however, with a combined fee from the two broadcasters thought to total around €900m (£785m) per year, down from the current €930m (£811m).

The new deal does guarantee more financial stability for the top-flight clubs, meanwhile, as it runs for five seasons - starting in 2024-25 - as opposed to three.

"We are thrilled with this result," said Stefano Azzi, CEO of DAZN Italy. "Remaining the go-to platform for Serie A TIM and the main partner of Lega Serie A demonstrates the solidity of the partnership developed in recent years, of which we are extremely proud.

"Having in front of us, for the first time, a five-year time horizon and having set, also economically, our offer in the tender on a logic of sharing the growth we expect from the Italian market, lays the foundations for a fruitful and constructive relationship with Lega Serie A and the Clubs. We look forward to starting this innovative development path to further increase the value of the Serie A product by bringing it, in new ways, to a wider audience."

In the UK, TNT Sports holds the broadcast rights to the Serie A - although the current three-year deal is due to expire at the end of this season.
