GB News has announced the appointment of Helen Warner in the new role of director of television.
The exec arrives at the news broadcaster having previously served as daytime head at both ITV and Channel 4, where she was responsible for commissioning and producing shows such as Good Morning Britain, Loose Women and Come Dine With Me.
"GB News has impressed me from the start, and its achievements in just over a year have been phenomenal," said Warner, who will be tasked with expanding existing programming and developing new formats.
"I can't wait to help take its programming to the next level and really cement its place in the broadcasting landscape."
Angelos Frangopoulos, chief exec at GB News, said: "Helen joins at an exciting time for GB News with our investment in British journalism already delivering strong audience growth.
"Her tremendous industry expertise and deep understanding of audiences will be invaluable as we turbocharge our schedule, our new shows and our talent over the coming months."
The news comes weeks after GB News confirmed that it had secured £60m of fresh investment to aid the channel's development.
