ITV has released a new promotional trailer hinting at the storyline twists to come on Coronation Street in September.

Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) has learned the truth about her fiancé Joel's (Calum Lill) sickening abuse of Lauren (Cait Fitton) and teams up with DS Swain (Vicky Myers) to help bring him down. But meanwhile Joel schemes to escape his crimes - will he be brought to justice?

Paul (Peter Ash) approaches his final days in his battle with Motor Neurone Disease - but when he is rushed to hospital suddenly, the race is on for Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) to make it to his bedside to say a final goodbye.

Elsewhere, Nick (Ben Price) looks to be facing a ticking time bomb as he tries to keep his affair with Toyah (Georgia Taylor) a secret from his wife - and Toyah's sister - Leanne (Jane Danson).
