Bobby Gordon leaves his role as Toby Faroe on Hollyoaks after two years on the soap.

Bobby Gordon has left Hollyoaks after more than two years playing troubled Toby Faroe.

Toby's departure aired in E4's first-look episode of the soap last night and saw the police finally arrest him for the murder of Lisa Loveday in 2020.

In a further twist it was revealed that DS Cohen was tipped off to Toby's guilt by his own father Felix (Richard Blackwood) just weeks after the death of Toby's sister Celeste in the Salon De Thé explosion.

Speaking after the episode aired, Gordon said: "All good things must come to an end. Joining the show brought some of the best memories of my life and got my feet wet in an industry I've been trying to crack for over a decade.

"Leaving truly brings a tear to my eye and I've made friends for life from the cast and crew. I'm going to miss the village dearly."

Hollyoaks continues weeknights on Channel 4 and E4.
