Rainbow's Zippy and George to appear on puppet edition of MasterChef

Zippy and George from Rainbow will appear in a special episode of MasterChef for Children In Need.

A special crossover edition of MasterChef will air on Friday night as part of this year's Children In Need.

The annual charity telethon will feature an episode in which a series of well-known puppet characters visit John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the famous kitchen.

Among those taking part in Puppet MasterChef are Zippy and George from Rainbow, Teletubbies icon Tinky-Winky and Basil Brush.

Hacker T Dog and Dodge will also compete in the special episode, which will culminate with the crowning of the inaugural Puppet MasterChef champion.

Children In Need airs Friday night from 7pm on BBC One.
