Rihanna is announced as the half-time performer at the Super Bowl in Arizona in 2023.

Rihanna has been announced as the half-time act at the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona.

The 34-year-old singer, who hails from Barbados, has been out of the spotlight for over four years, having last performed at the Grammys in 2018.

Rihanna boasts an extensive back catalogue of hits including 'Umbrella', 'Don't Stop The Music', 'S&M', 'Diamonds' and 'Work', and is estimated to be the wealthiest female musician in the world with a fortune of around $1.4 billion (£1.3 billion).

Jay-Z, founder of Rihanna's record label Roc Nation, said: "Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn.

"A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment."

The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on February 12, 2023.
