Noel Clarke says that he will seek "professional help" following allegations against him but "vehemently" denies sexual misconduct.

Noel Clarke has issued a fresh statement following the allegations against him this week.

A report by The Guardian on Thursday detailed claims from 20 women against the 45-year-old actor, including bullying, sexual harassment and covert filming of nude auditions.

Clarke's first response was a flat-out denial of all the claims but now, while still insisting that he has never sexually harassed anyone, he has admitted that he will turn to "professional help" for what he describes as unintended actions.

"I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or criminal wrongdoing," he said.

"Recent reports however have made it clear to me that some of my actions have affected people in ways I did not intend or realise.

"To those individuals, I am deeply sorry. I will be seeking professional help to educate myself and change for the better."

Recrimination against Clarke came swiftly after the newspaper published its story, with BAFTA suspending his membership just weeks after giving him the prestigious Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.

Sky, meanwhile, has terminated its relationship with the Bulletproof star, while ITV dropped the final episode of event drama Viewpoint from its Friday night schedule.
