Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have reportedly vowed to stick by the show amid its ongoing behind-the-scenes controversies.
The BBC ballroom contest celebrates its 20th anniversary this year but the milestone has been overshadowed in recent months by allegations from several former celebrity contestants of mistreatment during training by their professional dance partners.
Italian dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice have both left the show in recent weeks as a result, while an ongoing investigation threatens to throw up more allegations and overshadow the upcoming new series.
Daly and Winkleman have co-hosted the show together since 2011, and according to The Sun, while they have been left shocked by recent revelations they remain fully committed to the programme.
"Just like everyone else Tess and Claudia are shocked by the allegations which are coming to light," a source told the newspaper.
"Naturally in light of the show being plunged into scandal those who work on the programme have speculated if either of them will want to jump ship.
"Contractually it would be an issue but there is always a way to get out of these things and it's safe to say the reputation of the show has certainly changed amongst the public.
"Claudia in particular has turned into a brand in her own right after the huge success of The Traitors.
"However, privately both Tess and Claudia have vowed to stand by the show and co-present this year's series in a few months. To them Strictly is very much a family and they want to give the show and bosses their full support."
The new series will begin on BBC One in just two months' time, with the identities of the celebrities taking part due to be revealed in the coming weeks.
