Calvin Zola has been handed his competitive debut by Aberdeen after the striker managed to recover from a knee injury in time to face Kilmarnock.
However, manager Derek McInnes has had to leave out key men Chris Clark and Andrew Considine due to injury.
Kilmarnock are without captain Manuel Pascali, who is still out with a broken leg, while Kris Boyd - who recently agreed a new one-year deal - is on the bench.
Aberdeen: Langfield; Shaughnessy, Anderson, Reynolds, Robertson; Flood, Jack, Robson, Hayes, McGinn; Zola
