AC Milan defender Ignazio Abate could reportedly face an injury lay-off after sustaining an ankle knock in their 3-2 defeat to Juventus on Sunday.
The 25-year-old, who starred for Italy at Euro 2012, left the pitch after 50 minutes and is set to undergo further examination on Tuesday.
Abate made 29 appearances for the Serie A side last season, and is considered as one of the best of his kind in world football.
Milan begin their league campaign against Sampdoria on Sunday.
