How AC Milan could line up against Inter Milan

Sports Mole looks at how AC Milan could line up in this weekend's Milan derby with bitter rivals Inter Milan.

AC Milan will be looking for their fourth straight Serie A victory when they take on bitter rivals Inter Milan on Sunday night.

Milan will enter the derby down in 10th position in Serie A, but Gennaro Gattuso's side have only lost one of their eight league matches this season and are unbeaten in their last six entering Sunday's match.

Milan lost 3-2 in the corresponding league fixture last term but have actually only been beaten in one of their last six meetings with Inter.

That said, Milan have not been victorious in the away league match against Inter since November 2010.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Milan could line up this weekend.

Possible AC vs. INT

Out: Andrea Conti (knee), Ivan Strinic (heart condition)
Doubtful: Mattia Caldara (muscle), Alessio Romagnoli (muscle)

Milan boss Gattuso could keep faith with the same XI that started the 3-1 win over Chievo before the international break.

Gonzalo Higuain netted a brace in that particular match to take his tally to six goals for the season, and he should again be joined by Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu in the final third of the field.

Patrick Cutrone and Samu Castillejo are both options for change, although a 4-3-3 formation is expected to see Franck Kessie continue in central midfield alongside Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura.

Mattia Caldara and Alessio Romagnoli are both doubts for the derby, while Andrea Conti and Ivan Strinic will definitely miss out this weekend.

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has struggled for consistency since arriving at Milan on loan during the summer, and is again expected to start on the bench.
