Massimiliano Allegri insists that he will stay on as the AC Milan coach despite their disappointing start to the season.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that he is not at risk of getting sacked following their 2-1 defeat to Udinese in Serie A on Sunday.

The loss in Udine was the Rossoneri's third in four league matches so far.

"Talking about my dismissal would be senseless, as it's not my decision," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I have never had a problem and, considering our rapport, neither has the club.

"I don't feel guilty, nor a victim. We lost today, yes, but played with courage down to nine men and that is a good sign. The lads deserve credit for that.

"We are missing results. Today it was a defeat, but the team played well and we still have to build on that to correct mistakes."

Milan will host Allegri's former club Cagliari at San Siro on Wednesday.
