Marco Amelia believes that he and his AC Milan teammate Christian Abbiati are the best goalkeepers in Italy.
The 30-year-old played an important role in the Rossoneri's 1-0 home win against Italian champions Juventus in Serie A on Sunday.
"In my view, Abbiati and I are the best pair of goalkeepers in Italy today," he told Milan Channel.
"Maybe only Juventus with Gianluigi Buffon and Marco Storari have two figures of the same level as Milan.
"There is also hope for the future, as Gabriel is an excellent goalkeeper for one so young. Right now he is shut out by Abbiati and me, but I am sure he'll have a great future ahead of him."
The win saw Milan move up to ninth in the Serie A table.
