Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has admitted that his team deserved to lose tonight's clash with AC Milan.
The Bianconeri slipped to just their second defeat of the season due to a controversial penalty awarded against Mauricio Isla in the 31st minute.
The referee pointed to the spot when he thought that the Chilean had handled inside the area, but replays showed that the ball hit him in the ribs. However, Buffon said that Juve did not show enough desire to get back into the game.
"If we want to find an excuse for this defeat, then we can, but the truth is that we deserved to lose this time.
"Being self-critical is the best way to educate people. You can never know what the real reasons are behind a defeat, but something was missing tonight in many aspects and it was visible.
"In the locker room we will now have to evaluate and analyse what went wrong."
The Old Lady are four points clear of Fiorentina at the top of Serie A.
