Filippo Inzaghi surprised by AC Milan display against Hellas Verona

Filippo Inazghi admits that it was a surprise to see AC Milan record a comfortable 3-1 Serie A victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Filippo Inzaghi has admitted that he was pleasantly surprised by AC Milan's performance in their 3-1 victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon.

A Rafael Marques own goal and Keisuke Honda's brace guided Milan to all three points, and Inzaghi was quick to reveal his delight with his side's display.

"Today we are very happy, as this was a great performance despite missing important players," the Milan boss told Sky Sport Italia.

"It was a great victory, we should enjoy it, but I am already looking forward to Fiorentina. I can say two consecutive wins represent a fine boost for this team.

"The players make me proud to train them. When I see them working, I am relaxed and know they are doing everything right. Of course on the field things can take a different turn and I didn't expect to be 3-0 up in a tough arena like this."

The result saw Milan climb to fourth by stretching their unbeaten run to four games.
