Former Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has been linked with a future role at either AC Milan or Roma.
It had been reported that Rijkaard had been considering retirement after his disappointing spell with Saudi Arabia came to an end in January 2013.
However, according to Tuttomercato, the Dutchman is said to be in contention for a move to the San Siro or Stadio Olimpico.
The position at Milan appears more likely, with coach Clarence Seedorf winning just four of his first 12 matches in charge since being appointed in January.
