Arrigo Sacchi: 'If football an individual sport, Ibrahimovic superior to Messi'

Arrigo Sacchi suggests that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a superior player to Lionel Messi.

Former AC Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi has suggested Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a superior player to Lionel Messi.

Speaking to Rai Radio 2, the Italian talked about Ibrahimovic and whether he could join AC Milan and new manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.

"I am too friendly with [president Silvio] Berlusconi and [CEO Adrian] Galliani to say what I think of Milan in the transfer market," he said.

"Ibrahimovic is one of the greats. If football were an individual sport, I think he would even be superior to Messi. This is a great strength, but also a limitation if he cannot work in synergy with the others."

Ibrahimovic, 33, is widely touted to leave Paris Saint-Germain with a return to former club Milan or Roma on the cards.
