Former AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko has said that the Italian outfit are still one of the best clubs in the world.
Milan allowed club legends Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gatusso and Filippo Inzaghi to leave the San Siro this summer, but former teammate Shevchenko insists that the Rossoneri are still a strong side.
"The 'golden' period is [not] over," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The club is still strong and the president is still backing it. Milan is one of the best clubs in the world."
Shevchenko is expected to start against France at Euro 2012 this afternoon.
