AC Milan have reportedly identified Arsene Wenger as a potential replacement for Gennaro Gattuso.
Wenger has been out of work since leaving Arsenal at the end of last season, but the Frenchman has hinted that he will soon take on a new role.
Telelombardia suggests that that could come at San Siro, with the Milan hierarchy said to be considering the long-term future of Gattuso.
The Italian only signed a permanent deal with Milan in the summer, but the club have recorded just 12 points from their opening eight fixtures in Serie A.
The report suggests that the recent arrival of chief executive Ivan Gazidis from Arsenal could also prove key in the possible appointment of Wenger.
