Preview: AC Milan vs. Palermo

Sports Mole previews the Serie A encounter between AC Milan and Palmero at the San Siro.

AC Milan will be hoping to close the gap on the Serie A leaders when they host Palermo on Sunday evening.

The Rossoneri have only lost out to Juventus during their opening nine league games this season to sit six points behind last year's champions and Roma in the standings.

Filippo Inzaghi's side are currently on an unbeaten run of six games, but four of those fixtures, including the midweek clash with Cagliari, have ended in a draw.

On-loan striker Fernando Torres once again failed to find the scoresheet, and that could see Giampaolo Pazzini given the chance to break his duck for the campaign.

Visitors Palmero failed to win any of their opening seven matches this season, but two victories in their last three outings have boosted morale at Stadio Renzo Barbera.

Those two wins, against Cesena and Chievo respectively, have helped Palermo up to 15th position to leave them three points clear of the relegation zone.

Coach Giuseppe Iachini may not make any alterations to his starting lineup for the visit to the San Siro.
