AC Milan remain top of Serie A after a 2-0 win over Lecce on Sunday.
It was Milan who started the stronger and they so nearly took the lead after just two minutes when Thiago Silva had a free header inside the box, but he fired just wide.
Milan did not have to wait long to secure the lead, however, as Antonio Nocerino found the bottom corner after seven minutes.
The home side continued to dominate possession in the opening period, and carved out the better of the chances, with Sulley Muntari and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both coming close to the club's second.
Milan moved 2-0 ahead after 65 minutes when Ibrahimovic capped a lively display with powerful finish inside the box.
Lecce could not find a way back into the match in the latter stages, with Milan looking the most likely to add to their lead.
