Saturday's Serie A predictions including Salernitana vs. AC Milan

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Salernitana vs. AC Milan.

Sampdoria vs. Empoli (Saturday, 2.00pm)

Despite a recent downturn in form, Empoli are separated from Saturday's opponents Sampdoria by eight points and five places in the Serie A standings, as the pair meet at Marassi this weekend.

Samp trail their counterparts in the table following a turgid campaign, which saw old coach Marco Giampaolo recently return, while the Serie B champions made a flying start to the season but are now on a run of nine games without a win.

We say: Sampdoria 1-1 Empoli

Even amid some failing form, Empoli are a tough nut to crack away from home, and were within minutes of ending their winless run last weekend.

So with neither team particularly potent of late - Samp's freak victory over Sassuolo aside - this clash is all set for a low-scoring draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Roma vs. Hellas Verona (Saturday, 5.00pm)

Aiming to keep alive slim hopes of a top four finish, Roma welcome in-form Hellas Verona to Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening.

Following successive Serie A draws - plus Coppa Italia elimination - the hosts have again slipped out of the European places, while the visitors are on a run of four wins from six and trail their capital counterparts by just four points in the table.

We say: Roma 2-1 Hellas Verona

Having conceded twice in three of their last four matches, Roma can certainly be vulnerable at the back, and may also have to improvise selection at the heart of their defence.

Nonetheless, they possess sufficient firepower to match a vibrant Verona team blow for blow, and could edge an entertaining encounter in the capital.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Salernitana vs. AC Milan (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Top meets bottom in a Serie A clash of establishment versus upstarts, as leaders AC Milan travel south to tackle Salernitana on Saturday.

Separated by a gulf of 43 points in the standings, the sides meet with the visitors back at the summit following last weekend's win over Sampdoria, while the hosts have previously won just once at Stadio Arechi this season.

We say: Salernitana 1-3 AC Milan

Each of the last nine matches between the first and last team in the table has ended with a win for the leaders of Serie A, and that run stretching back to May 2016 is set to continue.

Despite hiring a range of fresh faces in the transfer window - and now adding a new manager following their change of ownership - Salernitana fall far short of Milan's standards, and the Rossoneri can pick off the hosts through numerous attacking threats across the pitch.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
