AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has insisted that he did not think about leaving the club in the summer.
The 37-year-old was linked with a move away from the San Siro at the start of the season following the arrival of Diego Lopez from Real Madrid.
However, veteran shot-stopper Abbiati is happy to have remained with the Rossoneri for the 2014-15 campaign.
"I remained here because I am a Milan fan," he told Sky Sport Italia. "After many years here, I couldn't see myself in another jersey, even if there was the possibility to play more. In August I wanted to show that I was prepared to be part of the team and not only think about myself."
Abbiati has made five appearances for Milan so far this season.
