Filippo Inzaghi expects Mario Balotelli stay

Italian striker Mario Balotelli is likely to remain at AC Milan this summer, according to head coach Filippo Inzaghi.

AC Milan head coach Filippo Inzaghi believes that he will have Mario Balotelli at his disposal next season.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs this summer, including Arsenal and Liverpool.

However, Inzaghi has backed the club to retain the services of the former Manchester City striker, who he has described as an "important player" at the San Siro.

"I am calm, Mario is an important player and I will try to help him improve. I will reset everything that has been said about him, I have no problem with him. I have to make the most of his ability," he told reporters

"Will he leave? The club will decide. If he leaves then we will need a replacement because the centre-forwards are him and (Giampaolo) Pazzini. However, I believe that he will remain here."

Balotelli joined Milan from City in January 2013.
