Udinese goalkeeper Simone Scuffet has claimed that AC Milan tried to sign him in January 2014, a month before making his Serie A debut.
The 19-year-old - who is currently on loan at Serie B outfit Como - made his debut as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Bologna in February of that year, but the Italy Under-18 international says that the Rossoneri wanted to add him to their reserve outfit.
"AC Milan tried to sign me in January last year, but only to play for their Primavera," Scuffet told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
"Fortunately, the move didn't go through, as I made my first team Serie A debut just a month later.
"I was lucky to have family and friends close as they all gave me the best advice."
Scuffet has made 16 Serie A appearances for Udinese.
