Luton Town and Shrewsbury Town have closed the gap on league leaders Wycombe Wanderers down to just two points after the Chairboys failed to break Accrington Stanley.

Luton comfortably dispatched Newport County as Luke Wilkinson and Luke Rooney scored in either half.

Wycombe failed to extend their lead at the top, as Sean Maguire cancelled out Paris Cowan-Hall's opener in the second half.

Shrewsbury moved up to second with a late Andy Mangan strike to move level on points with Luton.

Reuben Reid's brace and Bobby Reid's goal sealed a comfortable win for Plymouth Argyle over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Hartlepool United kicked off their new regime under new owners with a point, after Danny Hylton answered back to Joe Ironside's opener for the North-East side.

Ten-man Mansfield Town held on to all three points after Vadaine Oliver broke the deadlock minutes after the restart against AFC Wimbledon.
