League Two roundup: Fleetwood Town replace Oxford United at top

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action in League Two, including high-scoring wins for Fleetwood Town and Portsmouth.

Fleetwood Town replaced Oxford United as the leaders of League Two following an action-packed afternoon on Saturday.

Oxford's run of 491 minutes without conceding a league goal came to an end as John-Joe O'Toole netted a second-half penalty to give Bristol Rovers their first away win since April.

Meanwhile, Steven Schumacher netted a hat trick as Fleetwood thrashed 10-man Newport County at Highbury.

Rochdale failed to capitalise on Oxford's loss, as they lost at home to AFC Wimbledon in a game that was temporarily suspended due to a powercut at Spotland.

Chesterfield also failed to take full advantage, as Luke Waterfall struck a late equaliser to earn Scunthorpe United a dramatic draw at the Proact Stadium.

Hartlepool United recorded their sixth win in seven games by seeing off Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Park.

Paul McCallum scored twice as Torquay United won 3-1 at Bury, while Ryan Bird also netted a brace in Portsmouth's 3-2 triumph over Exeter City.

Elsewhere, Ryan Williams's first-half strike gave Morecambe all three points at Burton Albion, who saw defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff sent off in the dying seconds of the match.

Wycombe Wanderers drew at Accrington Stanley, while York City were held at Cheltenham Town.
