After a ninth-placed finish in 2021-22, Vincenzo Montella has worked wonders to move Adana Demirspor into fourth spot this time around, a consequence of consistency since the start of March.
As many as five wins have been posted in seven matches, including three successive victories, and there is every confidence that they can end the campaign in their current position.
Although 12 goals have been scored in just three games, Demirspor were pegged back on three occasions against Kayserispor last time out, eventually prevailing by by a 5-3 scoreline.
Cherif Ndiaye has now contributed five goals and one assist in his last five outings, but Demirspor's efforts in the final third have been a collective effort.
While the Blue Lightnings are on an upward trajectory, the same can arguably be said of Alanyaspor now that they are back to winning ways.
Alanyaspor will not replicate their fifth-placed finish of last season, but seven points from five games have at least kept them in with a chance of a top-half finish.
An early goal from Koka earned a 1-0 victory over Umraniyespor last time out, extending a run of just four defeats in 16 outings at home this campaign.
However, nine defeats have come on the road, with their solitary away success being posted all the way back on the opening day of the season before Omer Erdogan arrived at the club.
Team News
Jonas Svensson and Badou Ndiaye will come back into contention for Demirspor after serving one-match bans for four yellow cards.
Ismail Cokcalis and Gokhan Inler appear likely to drop down to the substitutes' bench, and that should prove to be the only two alterations.
Umut Gunes is available for Alanyaspor again after serving a three-match ban for his dismissal at Antalyasor.
However, Erdogan could opt to keep with the same team that edged out Umraniyespor unless Pedro Pereira is recalled at right wing-back.
Zinedine Ferhat is also an option in the final third if Erdogan wants to add a different look to his attack.
Adana Demirspor possible starting lineup:
Ozbir; Svensson, Morel, Guler, Rodrigues; Stambouli, B. Ndiaye; Sari, Onyekuru; C. Ndiaye, Belhanda
Alanyaspor possible starting lineup:
Runarsson; Bayir, Rassoul, Balkovec; Pereira, Fer, Lusamba, Ozdemir; Karaca, Cavaleiro; Koka
We say: Adana Demirspor 2-0 Alanyaspor
While Demirspor have not always been at their best of late, they have found a way to churn out important results. With that in mind, we can only see a home win here, potentially recording a clean sheet in the process.
