ADO Den Haag, Willem II share spoils in draw

ADO Den Haag hold off Willem II to draw 1-1, despite going down to 10 men in the second half.

ADO Den Haag and Willem II play out a 1-1 draw in the Eredivisie at the Kyocera Stadium.

Kevin Jansen saw his header saved after he managed to get on the end of a Edouard Duplan cross, but Kostas Lamprou was equal to the effort.

Den Haag then took the lead thanks to a superb Jansen finish, who found the net from long range, giving Lamprou no chance in the Willem goal.

However, Willem pulled level in the second half from the penalty spot through Nick van der Velden as Dion Malone was sent off for the home team for the foul on Lucas Andersen.

The away side could not take advantage despite playing over 40 minutes with an extra man and the result keeps Willem in 16th place, while Den Haag move up to 12th spot in the Eredivisie table.
