The Confederation of African Football has approached Ghana and South Africa about hosting the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, according to reports.
Africa's footballing body previously said that the tournament will go ahead in Morocco as scheduled, despite the country asking for a postponement due to the Ebola epidemic.
However, Ghana Youth and Sports minister Mahama Ayariga is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "CAF wrote to us and indicated that Morocco had given strong indications they would pull out if CAF did not change the date."
South Africa were reportedly sent a similar letter.
