Former Middlesbrough and Derby forward Fabrizio Ravanelli gets his first manager post at Ligue 1 side Ajaccio.

Former Middlesbrough and Derby County frontman Fabrizio Ravanelli has been named as the new manager of Ajaccio.

The Ligue 1 outfit parted company with Albert Emon late last month due to 'personal issues' despite the 59-year-old guiding them to safety by two points.

Ravanelli, 44, has agreed a two-year deal at the Corsican side for what is his first senior management job.

He was previously a youth coach at Juventus.
