Ajaccio manager Fabrizio Ravanelli has paid tribute to his side's "extraordinary" win over Lyon on Wednesday.
L'ours claimed their first win of the season at Stade Francois Coty when a Aboubacar Demba Camara winner gave them a 2-1 victory after Steed Malbranque had cancelled out the home side's opener through Salim Arrache.
Ravanelli is delighted with his side and hopes that they can build on the performance.
"It was an extraordinary performance by us," Ravanelli told the press. "I don't have the words to congratulate my players.
"I think it was a deserved win which will, I hope, kickstart our season. I have never doubted my squad of players and their abilities. The town and the supporters can be proud of this team.
"We have been working since July and we have had so many disappointments. Now we must not stop, we must look to build on this when we play Montpellier on Sunday."
