Scottish League Two roundup: Albion Rovers go level on points with Arbroath

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish League Two action as Albion Rovers move level on points with leaders Arbroath by beating Queen's Park 2-1.

Albion Rovers picked up an important win in Scottish League Two, moving level on points with leaders Arbroath courtesy of a 2-1 victory against Queen's Park.

Scott Chaplain gave the hosts the lead before Queen's Park equalised through John Carter, leaving it to Gary Phillips to seal the points and maintain his side's title push.

Arbroath, who have played a game more, were held to a 1-1 draw at home to East Fife, with Jonathan Page's late strike cancelling out Simon Murray's opener.

Berwick missed the opportunity to move into the playoff positions, going down 2-0 to Elgin City, while Annan Athletic directly above them lost 2-1 at Montrose.

Bottom club East Stirlingshire remain in trouble following their 2-1 home defeat to Clyde, who took maximum points thanks to a goal from Scott McManus 10 minutes from time.

Results in full: Albion Rovers 2-1 Queen's Park, Arbroath 1-1 East Fife, Berwick 0-2 Elgin City, East Stirling 1-2 Clyde, Montrose 2-1 Annan
