Wolverhampton Wanderers have progressed to the second round of the League Cup following a penalty-shootout victory over League Two side Aldershot Town on Saturday.
After a barren first-half, Championship outfit Wolves went ahead on 53 minutes when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake found the target from close range.
However, Aldershot restored parity in the 62nd minute when Michael Rankine headed home Josh Payne's corner from close range.
Both sides had chances to win the tie thereafter, but it eventually finished 1-1 after normal time.
The game went into penalties after extra-time failed to produce any goals, and after the first 13 spot-kicks had been successful, Carl Ikeme fended off Jordan Roberts's kick to win the game 7-6 on penalties for his side.
