Half-Time Report: Angers holding firm against Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain fail to find a way through in the first half of their Ligue 1 clash at Angers.

Angers have shut out Paris Saint-Germain during a goalless first half of their Ligue 1 clash at Stade Jean-Bouin.

The French champions started on the front foot and almost took the lead inside five minutes when Edinson Cavani headed Angel di Maria's cross against the post.

That was as close as PSG came in the first period, while Angers's best chance to open the scoring came in the 38th minute when Billy Ketkeophomphone headed Thomas Mangani's cross against the bar.

The hosts put the league leaders under further pressure just before the half-time whistle as Cheikh Ndoye headed wide from close range after connecting with Yoann Andreu's cross.
