Lionel Messi has challenged his Argentina teammates to end their 22-year barren spell and win the Copa America in Chile this summer.
The beaten World Cup finalists in 2014 have not won a trophy since 1993, which saw them go all the way in the Copa America of that year.
Messi has been a part of several star-studded squads that have underachieved since, and the Barcelona star believes that it is time to put things right.
"We've had some great teams since we last won a trophy, but have gone too long without winning," Messi told Short List.
"We came close in Brazil, but the World Cup is behind us now. The objective is to win Copa America."
Gerardo Martino's men kick off the competition by facing Paraguay on Saturday. They are also paired with Uruguay and Jamaica in Group B.
