Lionel Messi: 'We're not showing what we can do'

Argentina captain Lionel Messi believes there is plenty of room for improvement in his side's performances, despite qualifying for the second round following two wins.

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has admitted that his side are yet to truly show off their talent at the World Cup so far.

The 1-0 win over Iran made it two wins out of two for Alejandro Sabella's side, though Messi believes there is still plenty of room for improvement, despite qualifying for the last 16.

Messi believes that Argentina will get stronger as the tournament goes on, starting with the final group game against Nigeria next Wednesday.

"We are not showing what we can do, but with a run of games I think we will get there," the Barcelona forward told reporters.

"We are the first ones to know we have not reached the level we would like."

Messi has scored two goals in two games at the World Cup so far.
