The January transfer window is now open, with Arsenal continuing to be linked with a host of big names.
The Gunners have endured a torrid first half of the season and have been tipped to bolster their ranks this month - in addition to offloading out-of-favour players - in a bid to turn their campaign around.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.
Tuesday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
Arsenal suffer blow in pursuit of Norwich City's Emiliano Buendia?
Arsenal have reportedly been dealt a blow in their efforts to land Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia in the January transfer window.
Creativity through the middle has been a glaring problem for Arsenal this term, and the Gunners are being tipped to move for a new number 10 despite Emile Smith Rowe's recent emergence.
With Mesut Ozil seemingly destined to head for the exit door this month, a possible player-plus-cash deal for Buendia - believed to be Arsenal's top target - has been mooted, but the Gunners are reportedly facing competition for his signature.
According to La Razon, La Liga outfit Valencia have also expressed an interest in Buendia, and the Gunners would struggle to stump up Norwich's asking price of £40m amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old has affirmed that he is "very happy" at Norwich, contributing seven goals and seven assists in the Championship so far as the Canaries look to make an immediate return to the big time.
Buendia still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal at Carrow Road.
Arsenal's Mesut Ozil talks up Fenerbahce move
Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil has claimed that Fenerbahce are the only Turkish club he would be willing to sign for amid speculation over his future.
The 32-year-old is expected to head for the Emirates exit door this month, with Fenerbahce and DC United the two clubs believed to be in talks with his entourage.
Fenerbahce president Ali Koc recently hinted that a January deal for Ozil could indeed come to fruition, and the playmaker has added fuel to the fire by talking up a move to the Istanbul-based team.
Responding to fans during a Twitter Q&A session, Ozil said: "I grew up as a Fenerbahce fan as a kid in Germany - every German-Turkish person supports a Turkish team when they grow up in Germany.
"And mine was Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce is like Real Madrid in Spain. The biggest club in my country. There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and the USA. If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce."
Ozil has not made an appearance for Arsenal since March 2020 after being left out of Mikel Arteta's Premier League and Europa League squads for the 2020-21 campaign, and he now has six months left to run on his Gunners deal.
