Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Porto

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second leg with Porto.

Bidding to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, Arsenal welcome Porto to their Emirates headquarters on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta's rampant attackers were neutralised at the Estadio do Dragao three weeks ago, where a last-minute Galeno stunner gave Sergio Conceicao's men an unexpected first-leg success.

However, the Gunners have responded to that setback perfectly with three successive Premier League wins, jumping to the top of the table with a 2-1 victory over Brentford on Saturday evening.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the second leg with Porto, who eased past Portimonense 3-0 in Primeira Liga action on Friday.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: March 12 (vs. Porto)

After sustaining a cut to his foot against Sheffield United on March 4, Gabriel Martinelli was absent from the Arsenal squad for the win over Brentford and was apparently seen on crutches after the game. There is every chance that his aides were simply being used as a precaution, but he did not train on Monday and is therefore a huge doubt.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: March 12 (vs. Porto)

Oleksandr Zinchenko recovered from his calf problem to come off the bench at the weekend, but Takehiro Tomiyasu's knock did not settle down in time, although the Japan international was seen in practice earlier this week and is in with a chance of featuring.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Jurrien Timber is gradually stepping up his recovery from an ACL injury in training and was named in Arsenal's knockout squad, but the Dutchman is still several weeks away from first-team consideration.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match and will be welcoming back David Raya, who was ineligible to face parent club Brentford at the weekend, but Declan Rice will miss the first leg of a potential quarter-final if he is booked here.
