Marco Silva: 'We were not scared of Arsenal'

Olympiacos boss Marco Silva says that his team were "never scared" of Arsenal as they recorded a Champions League win against the Premier League side.

Olympiacos manager Marco Silva has revealed that his team were "never scared" of Arsenal in their Champions League victory over the Gunners.

The Greek side emerged 3-2 winners from Tuesday night's clash at the Emirates Stadium, which leaves the Premier League outfit bottom of Group F after two games.

Arsenal equalised twice on the night, but Silva says that the Olympiacos players continued to execute their gameplan.

"We were very concentrated on the game, very focused," The Mirror quotes the Portuguese boss as saying.

"The most important thing was for the players to give everything they had, to believe in themselves and never be scared.

"We were never scared, even when Arsenal scored. We always respect our opponents but we were never scared and never thought we couldn't make it."

The result was Olympiacos's first win in England in the Champions League.
