Arsene Wenger confident ahead of Bayern Munich clash

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that his side's 4-1 win over Everton gives his side plenty of confidence ahead of the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the 4-1 FA Cup win over Everton has given his side a boost ahead of the trip to Bayern Munich.

Wenger's side made it into the last four of the FA Cup with victory over Everton, giving the Gunners renewed confidence before Tuesday's trip to the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

"It was important of course for us to win today to put us on a psychological front in a good mind and we can be inspired by our focus, by our desire and go to Bayern with the same spirit," he told reporters.

"The statistics go against us at Bayern but let's make sure the performance goes for us, then we have a chance."

Arsenal will have to overturn a 2-0 deficit to knock Bayern out of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
