Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested that Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to be rested for the Champions League clash with Basel.
The Gunners need to win in Switzerland and hope Paris Saint-Germain slip against Ludogorets in order to finish top of Group A, but despite having the chance to rest his star player ahead of the Christmas period, Wenger has insisted that it may be more beneficial to keep the Chilean in the team.
The Frenchman told reporters: "Best way when a guy is in a good success and a good confidence, it is more dangerous to stop him than keep him going.
"I haven't decided on my team yet, I've 24 more hours, but my main priority is to win the game."
Sanchez has scored five goals in his last two matches, while he possesses a total of 13 from 19 outings this season.
