Arsene Wenger retains Champions League hope

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his side can still progress in the Champions League, despite having to overcome a four-goal deficit against AC Milan.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his side can still progress in the Champions League next week, despite needing to overcome a four-goal deficit against AC Milan.

The Gunners host the Serie A side on Tuesday having lost the first leg of their last-16 tie 4-0 at the San Siro two weeks ago.

However, Wenger thinks that Arsenal have a chance if they show the same attacking edge as they did in their 5-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

"We can score, we can have a good edge in our game, so let's just go for it," said the Frenchman.

"We have it all to win because the result is written before we turn up, but we can change it.

"Nothing would be fatal [if Milan score]. If we have the attitude we had against Spurs then nothing is fatal, so we will just go for it."

Arsenal and Chelsea are the only English sides currently left in the competition.
